Learnings & Results

As Art Director and UX Lead, developing 20+ e-commerce shops reinforced several crucial lessons. Maintaining brand consistency across the platform while allowing each shop to express its unique identity proved to be a delicate balance. The importance of high-quality content and photography in enhancing the shopping experience and building trust with the audience was apparent. Data analysis proved to be an indispensable tool for optimizing the platform and continuously improving the user experience. Flexibility and scalability was key, necessitating ongoing platform updates and iterations to ensure continued success.


By prioritizing user needs and leveraging data-driven decision making, my team and I created a seamless and visually compelling experience that improved usability and drove significant increases in conversion rate and sales. This project demonstrates a successful application of design and UX principles in creating a successful e-commerce environment for Hearst Magazines.
